Yeah I heard about him playing at a Sydney festival but as far as I know there's no plans to come to Perth??

Oh crap. I just checked and he has announced a Perth date.
But its January 12th. When I'm still in Europe.
Kill me now. 
This is THE WORST TIMED HOLIDAY EVER!
Missing Eels in Europe...missing Bird both in Europe AND Perth...
I'm so cut over this.

Hey, don't worry. We'll have a whip round and see if we can't get enough to persuade E, or Mr Bird to change their dates.
Failing that I suppose we could use the money to hire E & Andrew Bird costumes and do some karaoke.

You got me. I have a banjo in my bag at all times, ready to pull out and make a little tune in moments of hightened musical appreciation.
Well we've got tickets to Okkervil River at the Luminaire on the 9th, which is going to ROCK!
My friend is dragging me to Powderfinger, who I'm not a fan of at all, and think its strange to go to London and attend a gig of an Australian band
BUT
That means I have a 'we're seeing this weird and wonderful band that you probably won't like' card in my pocket. So it all evens out. Now I just have to find that gig...!

This was quite odd and brilliant...
I had a dream last night that Bjork had announced a little UK tour (which I've been hoping for for ages, but there's never anything announced when I check... which is almost everyday), but today there is a UK tour announced! Yaaay
